ONLINE AND FACE TO FACE SESSIONS AVAILABLE

I offer counselling sessions both online and face to face, Being online means that I am able to work with anyone based within the UK and location is no longer an issue. I also offer face to face appointments and work from Newton Abbot, Devon. I understand that not everyone works a 9-5 job and that life can make scheduling appointments difficult, so I offer both day time and evening appointments.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy, where the client shares issues that have been bothering them with a counsellor.

It is not the counsellor's job to solve the problems of their client, instead the counsellor listens to the client and gives them space to explore their thoughts and emotions.

Counselling can be short or long term, which is guided by the needs of the client.

Who do I work with? How can I help you?

In the past I have worked with both young people (11-18 years old) and adults. I have worked with people from all walks of life, and from all over the world. I have gained a lot of experience in an academic context working at both a secondary school and the University of Plymouth. I feel this has given me a wealth of transferrable experience that can be beneficial to any client.

I have worked with the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Grief
  • Self Esteem difficulties
  • Trauma
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Neurodivergence
  • Suicidal Ideation
  • Racial Identity
  • Culturally Specific Issues

How can counselling help you feel better?

Many people are skeptical about therapy 'working for them'. Counselling offers the client a unique situation where they are able to freely and safely explore things in their life that might be troubling them.

The counsellor is an independent party from the client's life, who has no involvement in the issues that the client is experiencing. This gives the client someone to talk to freely about what is bothering them.

Counselling can allow the client to have  a confidential space just for them, to have breathing space from the world. This space can help the client to get perspective and feel ready to move forward in their life.
